Mobilized as an Army reservist for Operation Enduring Freedom, Steve served as counter-terrorism officer in Southeast Asia, where he coordinated the collection and exchange of operational intelligence on Islamic extremists in the world’s most populous Muslim region.

His first book, Without Reserve, is a novel set against the cultural and geopolitical realities of the war on terror in Southeast Asia.  His second, as yet unnamed, novel begins with the invasion of Iraq and focuses on one theory regarding the fate of Saddam’s elusive weapons of mass destruction.

He holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in political science and journalism.  In his civilian capacity, he is a corporate executive and technology transfer attorney.
